Vera Hutto Room
Hat Collection: Hats for all seasons… The museum’s hat collection contains many different and unique hats following the fashion trends of Monterey Park throughout the years.

California Room
The California Room: Scale models of all 21 of the Franciscan Missions, designed and constructed by Monterey Park resident Manuel Tovar, are on permanent display. Monterey Park was originally part of the San Gabriel Mission lands.

Gribble Room
The Laura Scudder Story: Humble beginnings for a potato chip empire… The museum offers a special video screening telling the story of Laura Scudder, a successful Monterey Park businesswoman of the 1920s and 1930s, who accepted the challenge of achievement, and whose company remains an industry leader.

Maude Kidd Room
Maude Kidd Room: A living room, dining room, bedroom, and kitchen have been reconstructed to show how people lived and what their home environment was like. Items like a rug beater, butter churn, Victrola, flat irons that weigh up to 10 pounds, toys, an icebox, and stovetop toaster are among the many items that children and young adults enjoy seeing for the first time.
